What started as a way to continue a local tradition has grown into something much bigger — a haunted attraction built around scares, community and giving back.
A New Chapter
Began in 2018.
Bango Haunted Crib began its next chapter in 2018 when Tom and Derek took ownership of the facility from the Schaller Jaycees.
The Jaycees had established a tradition of community involvement and giving back, and the Bango Board wanted to make sure that legacy continued. But they also saw an opportunity to take it a step further — creating a larger outreach and using the haunted attraction to make an even greater impact throughout the area.
Since then, Bango has continued to grow as both a haunted attraction and a way to support the communities around us.
Tom and Derek took ownership of the facility from the Schaller Jaycees with a goal of continuing their tradition of community involvement while expanding Bango’s reach.

From the beginning, the goal has been about more than operating a haunted house. Bango Haunted Crib carries forward the community-minded spirit that came before us while finding new ways to support area organizations, youth programs, scholarships, community projects and local causes.

Bango Haunted Crib is operated by an incredible group of board members who work together with equal voices and a shared responsibility for keeping Bango moving forward. Each member brings their own ideas, experience and talents to the table, but everyone works toward the same goal: making Bango successful so we can make an even greater impact throughout our communities.
